Our Services
Psychiatric Evaluation and Assessment
We will take the time to hear all that you bring to each session. Together, we can methodically sort out what your goals are and how to focus our time. If discussing a diagnosis is helpful to the process for you, we will talk through the elements of determining or confirming diagnoses and related treatment plans. Diagnosis can sometimes bring insight and direction, and we’ll use it as a tool, not a label, to guide treatment options that align with your life. Treatment plans will be based on your goals, and may include actions you will take, lifestyle changes such as nutritional adjustments, physical activities, inviting play and hobbies, journaling, tending to your spirit and identity, medications or supplements, and/or many other different approaches guiding you to a healthier path - on your terms, and at your pace.
Did you know that our hormones work with the neurotransmitters in our brains, in constant conversation, affecting how we think and feel? Perhaps you did, and maybe that’s why you’re here! Or perhaps you didn’t, but you have found yourself struggling with a chapter of life that involves these hormone fluctuations, such as perimenopause or the perinatal period - or a gender identity transition. As a dual-certified nurse-midwife and psychiatric nurse practitioner, I bring expertise at the intersection of mood, brain function, and the connection with our hormonal changes. Or, more poetically, where the body meets the mind, and science connects to soul. This under-researched and often overlooked connection is an area I am passionate about exploring. Bridging both a Western (allopathic) medical perspective and holistic approach, we can work together to help you through whatever life stage you are moving through.
Perimenopause & Perinatal Mental Health
If you are living with chronic pain and/or disability, then you probably already know that it is complex and requires different approaches to adapt and find a path forward. All pain has several aspects to it - biological, psychological, and social/spiritual. For example, if you stub your toe when you’re out enjoying time with friends, it probably wouldn’t bother you as much as if you did so on a day when you are already weighed down by grief or stress. Pain often reflects and responds to the whole of our experience. While we will not directly treat chronic pain or disability in our sessions, we will explore the emotional, mental, and social/spiritual layers that weave together in order to help you move towards your goals. That said, there are also certain medications used in psychiatry that can have the dual benefit of potentially helping with pain as well, depending on your unique needs.

Self-Pay Option:
We currently offer a self-pay sliding scale option for those who are not insured by any of the accepted insurances listed in the previous section. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a self-pay option if you currently have one of the listed insurances.
We use the Green Bottle Method to determine sliding scale pricing. This requires a combination of your participation and our trust. If you are between 2 categories, it’s okay to choose the lower cost option. See the graphic below for details (click image to see enlarged version). Please note that we can only accept a limited number of clients in each category.
^ If you fall into the lower-pay category, but are unable to afford the $80, please feel free to reach out and discuss this with us, and we’ll see what we can work out.
If you fall into the full-cost category, please consider a Pay-It-Forward price of $210 or more, and any amount in excess of $200 will go to a fund in support of financial accessibility for those that are further down on the scale.
